The show takes place at the Business Design Centre from 10am to 5pm, on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 October 2013.
Over the two days, the Business Design Centre will be packed full of thousands of resources and services from hundreds of educational suppliers offering the widest range of ICT, software and classroom resources to support children in their learning – all under one roof.
Discover the new resources, save money with our exhibitor's discounts and special offers, and get inspired with up-to-date CPD training in our seminars.
This could be a good place to run a seminar and have a stand. Generally raising the profile of the benefits etc of AT and children, in this case children with special needs. Does anyone have any opinions or ideas on this? I've started a discussion on this, if anyone would like to share thoughts on this...
Have been telling some folk about a great app Visible Body ,
very worth while if you are keen on Anatomy, also book recommendation Zig Zag, the surprising path to creativity by keith Sawyer,
rather in the vein of The Talent Code by Daniel Coyle,
Angela hurt her ankle and went to the ESTA conference:
One thing I did while disabled was to attend the ESTA (European String Teachers Association) conference in Oxford. (I hired a wheelchair). Red Priest (my ensemble) had been invited to perform at the conference, so I attended the whole conference and took up the offer of a free stall at which, amongst other things, I advertised the AT with a STAT banner and leaflets. Interestingly, about 40% of the ESTA members who had taken up this offer were also AT teachers! They were advertising their musical wares, as I was also. Crissland Taylor was there, as she was giving a session on her chinrests and shoulder rests, also Vivien Mackie, Bill Benham and some others whose names I have forgotten.
More Anatomy Web resources and tablet apps, of various flavours.
Skeletons of different mammals, with focus on different bones. http://www.eskeletons.org/tree.html
Incredible nice FREE app to view the human body in 3D. And you can strip the layers on various aspects: skin, muscle, skeleton, nervous, digestive etc, Check the instructions for full info. http://zygotebody.com
